WOFA PODCAST: A day in the life of a Virgin Australia 737 captain with Michelle Huntington

written by WOFA | December 20, 2018

This week we were joined on the Australian Aviation podcast by Captain Michelle Huntington from Virgin Australia.

We were lucky enough to spend the day with Huntington while filming a feature on the day in the life of a Virgin Australia airline pilot.

Like many career aviators, Huntington started out as an instructor and her first airline job was with Rex flying the Saab 340. Huntington was a latecomer to aviation and accelerated her way through the learning process achieving her ATPL in just 12 months. Talk about working hard for it! There are some funny stories in this interview, and I’m sure that you’ll agree that strapping a seven-year old to a Mirage fighter Jet and taking her out for some aeros and low levels makes for some interesting first memories of aviation as a young person.

It was a pleasure to have her on the show, and for all of those folks out there that follow us in social media keep your eye out in Facebook for the feature video coming up shortly.

Don’t forget to subscribe and share the show so you can stay up to date with all of our episodes. You can find all of the previous episodes of the Australian Aviation podcast here available on Spotify or iTunes.
